Hello, new user here and a complete newb at recording. I just recently bought my first digital interface(Scarlett 18i20 second gen) and received ableton live lite 9 free with my purchase. I've been trying to import mp3 into it but have been unsuccessful. Can someone explain to me how to do this? Also is it possible to slow down the track to play along wit hit for practice purposes? I'd like to be able to import my favorite songs and be able to play along to them while recording my drumming. Is this possible?

  1. Installing Third-Party packs. Download a third-party pack(s). Create a folder on your computer or external hard drive called 'Third-Party Packs'. To install the pack, double click the.alp file or drag the pack into Live. Live will recognize it as a third-party Pack and ask where to install it.
  2. Once an MP3 is dropped into a track, Live decodes it and writes the result to a temporary, uncompressed sample file. Exporting MP3 files (Live 10) MP3 files can be exported in Live 10 using the Export Audio/Video command.
